Lya Melendez and her husband, Nickolas Jasper, were enjoying a night out in Paris on their honeymoon when Jasper spotted Khalifa. While he was excitedly texting his friends about the sighting, Lya shared a video of herself chugging a glass of wine on TikTok.

“Not okay,” she titled the video along with the hashtags, “#honeymoondiaries #fyp #honeymoon #husbandthings #trouble #notokay #truestory #miakhalifa #honeymoontrip #justgreat.”

TikTokers immediately rallied around the blogger, whose video has been viewed more than 4.3 million times. “Girl, you should’ve left,” one commenter wrote, while another added, “I’m mad for you, especially on the honeymoon too. He would’ve been wearing that wine.” A third said, “To be fair, Mia would probably be really upset to hear [you] were treated that way.”

According to Buzzfeed, Khalifa responded to the video in a since-deleted exchange. “Girl, my man was on his phone the whole time, I say we throw them all away and go shopping tomorrow,” she wrote. The 29-year-old added that Jasper “owes you a Birkin,” a bag that costs anywhere between a few thousand dollars to millions of dollars.

Apparently, though, Jasper came through. Lya posted a follow-up clip showing off a gorgeous Birkin bag.

“Just over here trying to make you proud,” she captioned the video, replying to Khalifa. “#birkin #fyp #birkinbag #hermes #hermesbirkin #miakhalifa #paris #hermesparis #girlthings”

At this point, people were clearly invested. “Women supporting women is the most beautiful scene in this world to witness,” one user swooned. A second said, “This is iconic,” while another agreed, simply writing, “Sisterhood.”

The new pals even met up to make another video, which Japser filmed.

“I’m here at the christening of the baby Birkin, we’re not going to dunk it in water,” Khalifa giggled, before adding, “This is the best thing ever. Also, her husband that we were talking s–t about is the one filming this right now.”

Melendez then chimed in: “What a time to be alive.”

Nine days later, the trio posted a video together. “When you’re about to cuss him out for recognizing Mia Khalifa, but he hits you with the uno reverse: Birkin edition.”

In the caption, Lya added, “God bless them both @miakhalifa & my hubs.”

Of course, it’s possible she could have owned the bag already and was just playing along thanks to Khalifa’s comment. Regardless, the newfound friendship seems to be blossoming.
