The highest points total after all of the matches will win the Ashes. Six points will be awarded for the winners of the Test with two points for each team in the event of a draw and then two points for each win in the limited-overs games.
Personally, I am very excited for this series. I haven’t really watched much women’s cricket in the past to be honest but let’s change that and to make it even better.
Two of the ODI matches will be played on my doorstep in Hove. I will be there cheering on England and hopefully both the women’s and the men’s teams can win the Ashes this summer.
Here is England’s squad for the series:
Charlotte Edwards (Kent, capt), Tammy Beaumont (Kent), Arran Brindle (Sussex), Katherine Brunt (Yorkshire), Holly Colvin (Sussex), Georgia Elwiss (Sussex), Natasha Farrant (Kent), Lydia Greenway (Kent), Jenny Gunn (Nottinghamshire), Danielle Hazell (Yorkshire), Amy Jones (Warwickshire), Heather Knight (Berkshire), Laura Marsh (Kent), Natalie Sciver (Surrey), Anya Shrubsole (Somerset), Sarah Taylor (Sussex), Lauren Winfield (Yorkshire), Danielle Wyatt (Nottinghamshire).
