How To Play Wordle
While there are a ton of clones and copycats out there, including a Wordle multiplayer game called Mordle, the original version is currently owned and hosted by the New York Times games. This is the version that the rules, hints, and answers here will be referring to.

To play, head to the NYTs games site and choose the best starting word to begin Wordle. It should contain a variety of letters, including some of the more common letters in five-letter English words, like L, R, S, or T. Type the chosen starting word into the site and press enter. This will cause the letters to change color in order to give clues to the answer.
Green = correct Yellow = correct but in the wrong place in the word Gray = incorrect
Players have a total of six tries to get to the right word. Wordle answers can contain duplicated letters, and they are usually the Americanized version of the word. Back when it purchased the game, the New York Times censored Wordle to remove all the potentially offensive words as well as most of the UK versions of words. Puzzles reset daily at midnight local time, meaning there is only one Wordle puzzle per day.
