How To Play Wordle
Wordle is a browser-based puzzle game owned by the New York Times. This game can be played on just about any device that connects to the internet. Here are the rules of the game:

Note: The original game is now hosted by the NYT games site; while there are tons of copycats out there, all hints, answers, and rules will be about the NYTs version and may not apply to any others.
Head to the New York Times games site and look for Wordle. Choose a starting word; it must be five letters long and a real word. Wordle answers can have duplicated letters, like VIVID. They are usually the Americanized spellings of words, like HONOR over HONOUR, and they are usually only singular nouns. Players should choose a starting word within those parameters that also has some of the common letters used in Wordle puzzles. Type the starting Wordle word into the site and press enter. The letters will change color to give players a clue as to the real answer. Green are right, gray are wrong, and yellow letters are right but in the wrong place in the word. Players have six total tries to guess the word. Puzzles reset daily at midnight local time.
After completing the puzzle, check out the Wordle menu that has player stats and the spoiler-free share button. Stats include things like win streak, total puzzles played, and more.
