How To Play Wordle
A quick note: There are lots of copycats and clones out there, like the Wordle clone Dogsdle that’s about guessing dog breeds, but the original is owned by the NYTs. Other sites may have slightly different rules, and they will also mostly likely have different answers. Everything in this article will be about the New York Times Games version.

First head to the site and type in a great starting Wordle word. The Wordle words of the day do have some rules though:
Wordle words are all five letters long. They are real English words. The New York Times censored some words from Wordle, removing most offensive words and non-American spellings of word. Letters can be duplicated, as in the word CHEER. Wordle answers are almost never plural, but plural words can be used as guesses.
Type a starting word into the site and press enter. The letters will change colors to give players hints as to the real answer.
Green - Correct Gray - Incorrect Yellow - The letter is right but in the wrong place
Players have six total tries to get to the answer. Puzzle reset daily at midnight local time every day, giving players just one Wordle puzzle a day. This is probably why many of the copycats and clones have become so prevalent.
