How To Play Wordle
Wordle is thankfully very easy to learn, though it is hard to master. This game pits players against a five-letter English word once a day; players have six total tries to get to the final answer. Here’s a breakdown of all the rules.

The original version of Wordle is on the New York Times Games website. If anyone wants to play, head to this website for it. Choose a starting word. Type it into the website and press enter. Starting words should have two vowels and some common consonants in five-letter words. The letters will change colors: green are right, gray are wrong, and yellow are right but in the wrong place in the word. Given these clues, players have five more guesses to get to the answer before they lose. Puzzles reset daily at midnight local time.
Wordle also has a stats menu. This can be accessed with the graph logo in the upper right-hand corner of the screen or will pop up when the puzzle is complete. These stats include win streaks, total puzzles played, and more. Stats will only be accurate if players use the same browser and device every day. The menu also features a share button, which copies colored, square emojis to replicate the play board. This allows players to share spoiler-free version of their daily puzzles.
